Scorpion vs Dark Empress Kitana: A Mortal Kombat Fight on the Go
Mortal Kombat 11 Mobile continues to deliver the intense combat and perhaps the most iconic matchup in the series in the shape of Scorpion and Kitana with an extra dose of brutality thanks to their respective character variations. This time around we have hellspawn firebrand Scorpion up against corrupted royalty Dark Empress Kitana to decide who reigns supreme on the mobile platform.
The Perpetual Specter:
Scorpion in his various mobile guises remains a consistent bruiser. His standard spear attack, "Get over here!", provides decent combo initiators and interrupting attack options on enemies. Beyond the spear, Scorpion generally provides decent attack stats and the ability to deal damage over time through burn damage, wearing down enemies even at the end of a combo.
Strengths
High attack power: Scorpion is generally built to cause huge damage.
Spear Attack: A move useful for starting combos, interrupting special actions and getting up close to enemies.
Burn Damage: Deals constant damage over a prolonged duration of time, debilitating enemies.
Resurrections/Resistance to Debuffs: Some versions of the Scorpion have the ability to resurrect or resist debuffs.
Weakness
Reliance on Combos: His success heavily relies on obtaining combos consistently.
Vulnerable to Interruption: In the event his attack is blocked or interrupted, he becomes susceptible to counter-attacks.
Potentially low health: Depending on type, Scorpion can be extremely fragile.
Dark Empress Kitana: Tainted Royalty
Dark Empress Kitana is powerful and evil. She typically comes equipped with abilities to empower her attacks, apply bleed damage, and drain energy from targets. Her deadly and graceful fan attacks can be deadly in the hands of a good player.
Strengths
Bleed Damage: Her attacks bleed frequently and deal massive damage over time to the health.
Power Drain: She drains power from enemies and limits them from unleashing special attacks.
Combo Potential: Her fast attack and chaining combos allow for constant pressure.
They buff themselves in some and debuff the opponent in others. Weakness
Reducing Attack Strength (Potentially): Possibly based on bleed damage instead of raw attack strength.
Vulnerable to power drain counters: Her effectiveness can be lost if the opponent power drains. Depends on mid-close range combat with her fans and disadvantages at longer range.
